I have tested the Mega G+ cars at my regular track voltage of 18.5 volts and also at lower voltages. At 18.5 volts they are fast enough, lower voltages would be just for kids. With the same type of tires on both cars a 440X-2 is two tenths of a second slower on my track than a Tomy Super G-Plus, but about the same as a newer Tomy AFX Mega G car. A used car is likely to have worn motor brushes and the armature may have a worn commutator, those would reduce the speed of the car by a considerable amount.
